Pet activity insights.
Patterns, not diagnosis.

Software may help surface changes in movement or routine. It cannot know exactly what a pet feels, and it should never be presented as a medical diagnosis.

Can AI understand a pet’s emotions?

AI can classify observable patterns, but it cannot directly know a pet’s inner emotional state. A system might compare movement, posture, sound, routine or image features with patterns in its training data, then label a result as “calm,” “active” or “unusual.” Those labels are estimates shaped by data quality, the individual animal and the situation. The same behavior can have different meanings: stillness may reflect rest, fear, discomfort or simply a favorite warm spot. Useful pet technology should show what changed, explain uncertainty and invite the owner to add context. Persistent behavior changes, pain, appetite loss, breathing difficulty or other health concerns belong with a veterinarian, not an algorithm.

What is a responsible use?

Use pattern summaries as reminders to observe. Compare them with the pet’s normal routine, environment and recent events. Keep the original evidence available where possible, and avoid labels that sound certain when the signal is ambiguous.
